High frequency multiple shoots were induced on Murashige and Skoog's basal medium supplemented with 3.0 mg/l kinetin (KIN) and 0.5 mg/l 6-benzyl amino purine (BAP). The in vitro developed shoots were rooted best on half-strength MS medium fortified with 1.0 mg/l indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and 0.5 mg/l 1-naphtalene acetic acid (NAA). The developed micropropagation protocol can be successfully used for large-scale multiplication and conservation of P. zeylanica. ER -
